The 2005 Nord West Drif Boat:
The 2005 design
The interior of our 2005 model
drift boat has many comfort and technical improvements compatible with our "Yellowstone" , "Madison" and "Big Horn models .

Comfort
|
-
The rowing seat has
been entirely redesigned. Since the seat is still an integral
part of the hull, it is not adjustable (please see the
explanation in the ). However, to make the seat more ergonomically
correct it is positioned slightly lower and rope is not
needed. Even though the seat is slightly lower, there
is still plenty of room under it for a cooler full of
your favorite beverage. In addition, the redesigned seat
includes a cup holder on the port side and a fly box holder
on the starboard side.
-
All of the seats have
an improved angle of recline for better back comfort.

Technical
|
-
Since the rear fisherman
is rarely fishing or casting toward the axis of the boat,
it made good sense to adapt the equipment to allow for
a sideways cast. The knee brace is now designed to receive
one leg only, allowing for a bigger space between the
rower and the rear fisherman. In addition, a cup holder
and a fly box holder have been installed.
-
One of our greatest
improvements is to the side storage. We managed to keep
the same storage volume but replaced the 13"x11"
hatch with a 13"x23" hatch placed lengthwise.
The bigger access hatch allows for easy placement of larger
items into the storage area. The new hatch has been raised
at an angle so moisture from rain or washing cannot penetrate,
making the whole storage area "dry storage".
