What is new on our 2006 low profile hull design?

• The bottom width has increased from 58" to 62" resulting in increased stability.

• The side height is 18" at the bow and 17" at the stern.

• The chine has a varaible radius, rond in front and rear and sharp under water.

• The oveall length is unchanged.

• The entire bottom has a slight concave shape inverting to a "V" at the bow and stern.

Benefits of the new hull design on our 2006 low profile boat

• By sitting deeper in the water, somewhat like a catamaran, both sides add flotation and stability.

• The angle created between the side and bottom of the boat creates a sharper chine resulting in improved tracking.

• The "V" hull shape at the bow slices through the water to limit the splashing of water. The "V" hull shape at the stern aids the tracking motion as the stern dips down while pulling hard on the oars.

• The passengers' weight causes the bottom to react somewhat like the face of a dam. The pressure exerted is more evenly distributed toward the sides of the boat. The floor becomes stiffer than that of a flat bottom without any additional weight. The concave shape also keeps any water that enters the boat when embarking to the sides and away from the feet of the rower.
